Bio-Age. The long arc, and the limits of it.

Bio-Age is the slow one. Where Recovery answers what you have today, Bio-Age is the long arc: your Bio-Age, the parts it is built from, and how fast it is moving.

It is marked as still settling while it is, and unmarked the moment it is not. It is a wellness reading rather than a result, and this page is as plain about what it cannot tell you as about what it can.

What Bio-Age is on Omnisio

Omnisio gives you four things every morning: Today's Priority, Recovery, Sleep and Strain. Bio-Age is not one of them. It sits underneath them as the long arc — the reading that is meant to move slowly, and that would be worth nothing if it moved every day.

What the app shows is three things together: your Bio-Age, the parts it is built from, and how fast it is moving. The figure never arrives on its own, and that is the point of it. A bare number invites you to hold it up against somebody else's. A direction is at least about you.

It is a wellness reading, produced by a wellness app, out of what a wrist-worn band can measure. That sentence is the frame, and everything below is inside it.

What it is built from

The app shows you the parts your Bio-Age is built from. This page does not list them, and that is a rule rather than an oversight. What a member gets is the thing we sell; how any reading here is produced is not something we publish, on this page or anywhere else on this site.

So if you arrived looking for the input list, the honest answer is that there is not one published, and a page that supplied one would be supplying it from nowhere. What the site does commit to is the sentence at the foot of every page: Bio-Age is an estimate derived from consumer-grade sensors, not equivalent to a medical-grade measurement.

That is a smaller claim than the phrase 'biological age' usually carries around with it, and it is deliberately the one we are willing to stand behind.

Marked as still settling while it is.

Bio-Age is marked as still settling for as long as it is, and the mark comes off the moment it is not. That label is the most useful thing on the screen, because a long-arc reading with nothing behind it yet is the easiest number in this whole category to over-read.

It follows the rule the rest of the app runs on. Anything that measures you against yourself needs a stretch of your own nights behind it before it means anything, and until it has that stretch the app says on screen that it is still calibrating rather than showing you a number it cannot stand behind. None of those gaps is filled with a placeholder. A night the band could not read honestly gets no Recovery score at all rather than a low one.

The same principle is applied to things far bigger than a label. Omnisio Labs — the morning camera measurement — is not switched on in the app at all, and no date is being named for it, because it has to clear conditions written down before there was any result to move them for. The line under that section is the house rule in one sentence: a measurement that cannot carry a number does not get one. That holds for a thin night of data, and it holds for an entire feature of ours.

What to do with it, and what not to.

Bio-Age is not the reading you act on this morning. That is what Today's Priority is for — one instruction for the day, chosen out of recover, move easy, build, maintain, refuel or downshift, with the reason it was chosen and a single thing to do about it.

Bio-Age is the one you look at rarely, and slowly. Core gives you the reading and how fast it is moving. Horizon adds the history — the whole curve, not just today — which is the version that makes sense if a long stretch is the thing you actually want to see.

And here is the thing not to do with it: do not treat a movement in it as a finding. A change in a wellness reading is a change in a wellness reading. It is not a result, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not evidence that something in your body has changed or has not.

If a number is going to change how you eat, sleep, train or worry, it should be a number that can carry that weight. This one is offered as a wellness reading and nothing heavier, which is precisely why the page tells you where it stops.

What Bio-Age is not

This is the section that matters most here, and it is written flatly on purpose.

It is not a prediction of how long you will live. Bio-Age does not estimate a lifespan, does not forecast disease, and does not assess your risk of anything. No part of Omnisio is intended to. If a number here reads to you like a countdown, it is not doing what you think it is doing.

It is not a medical measurement. Omnisio is a wellness product for general lifestyle use. Bio-Age is an estimate derived from consumer-grade sensors, it is not equivalent to a medical-grade measurement, and neither the app nor the devices used with it hold FDA, CE-MDR or TITCK medical device clearance. Nothing in Omnisio is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

It is not a laboratory measure of ageing. Whatever else is sold under the words 'biological age', Bio-Age is Omnisio's own reading and does not claim to be the same thing as, or as good as, any of it. It is not a test result, and it is not a second opinion on one.

And it does not hand out advice. Omnisio does not screen for heart-rhythm problems, does not measure blood pressure, does not detect breathing disorders in sleep, and will never name a supplement or a dose. Where a reading sits outside the ordinary range, the only thing the app is allowed to do is say so plainly and point you to a physician — and that is what it does. Anything about your health that worries you belongs with that physician, not with this reading.

In both memberships

Bio-Age is in Core and in Horizon. Core gives you the reading and how fast it is moving. Horizon adds the history — the whole curve rather than today's figure — and two years to look back over instead of one.

Everything else on the morning screen is in both: Today's Priority, Sleep, Recovery and Strain; Running, Body Lab, Breathwork, Sound Lab and Jet Lag Coach; cycle, pregnancy and postpartum; community; food scanning; and bringing your history over from another device.

It also leaves with you. Export everything you have, or delete the account, from inside the app, on either membership. The export is never trimmed to your tier — the membership limits how far back the app looks, not what you own.

Questions

Is Bio-Age included in every membership?

Yes. Bio-Age, and how fast it is moving, is in Core and in Horizon. What Horizon adds is the history — the whole curve rather than just today's figure — and two years to look back over instead of one.

Why does my Bio-Age say it is still settling?

Because it is, and the app would rather tell you that than show you a figure it cannot stand behind.

The mark stays on for as long as the reading is still settling and comes off the moment it is not. None of the gap is filled with a placeholder in the meantime — a measurement that cannot carry a number does not get one.

Does Bio-Age tell me how long I will live?

No. It does not estimate a lifespan, forecast disease or assess your risk of anything, and nothing in Omnisio is intended to.

It is a wellness reading derived from consumer-grade sensors. Read as a countdown it would be telling you something it has never been able to tell you.

Is Bio-Age a medical test?

No. Omnisio is a wellness product for general lifestyle use, not a medical device, and nothing in it is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Bio-Age is an estimate from consumer-grade sensors and is not equivalent to a medical-grade measurement. Neither the app nor the devices used with it hold FDA, CE-MDR or TITCK medical device clearance. Where a reading sits outside the ordinary range the app says so plainly and points you to a physician.

Can I take my Bio-Age history with me, or delete it?

Both, from inside the app, on either membership. The export is never trimmed to your tier: the membership limits how far back the app looks, not what you own. What deletion removes, and the little that legally survives it, is itemised line by line on the Data Deletion page.
