Recovery. How much you have to give today.

Every Omnisio morning opens with the same question: what have you actually got today? Recovery is the answer to it — one reading, in plain words, with the reason attached.

It arrives on every membership. There is no version of Omnisio in which Recovery is the thing you have to pay more to see.

What Recovery actually answers

Recovery describes how much you have to give today. Not how well you slept — that is its own reading. Not what yesterday cost you — that is Strain. Recovery is the one that says what today can reasonably ask of you.

It does not arrive alone. It sits under Today's Priority, a single instruction chosen for the day out of recover, move easy, build, maintain, refuel or downshift — with the reason it was chosen and one thing to do about it. Not a to-do list; a decision that has already been made for you, which you are free to overrule.

So the order is the useful part. You are not handed a dashboard and wished luck. You are told what today is for, in a sentence, and Recovery is what that sentence is standing on.

Read against you, never against a stranger.

Your Recovery is read against your own recent weeks. It is never read against an average taken from other people, and Omnisio never shows you where you sit in a field of members.

That distinction is the whole of it. A reading that compares you with strangers tells you where you rank among them. A reading that compares you with yourself tells you what changed. Only the second one is any use on a Tuesday morning, and only the second one is still true when you are unusual — tall, small, older, fitter, ill last month, three time zones from home.

The same principle runs through the readings beside it. Sleep is set against your own recent nights. Training Balance is set against your own recent work. Nothing on the morning screen is a position in somebody else's table.

A night that could not be read gets no score.

Some nights the band cannot read you honestly. It came off, it sat loose, the night was too short to say anything about. On those nights you get no Recovery score at all — and Omnisio tells you so, rather than printing a low one.

That choice costs us something, which is why it is worth stating. A number every single morning looks like a product that always has an answer. A blank with an explanation looks like a product that sometimes does not. We would rather be the second, because a score assembled out of a thin night is not a low reading of you — it is a reading of nothing, wearing your name, and you would go and change your day because of it.

The readings around it hold the same line. A night that cannot be read is reported as unread. Training Balance leaves a share empty rather than filling one in. Bio-Age is marked as still settling for as long as it is, and unmarked the moment it is not.

What sits around it

Recovery is one of the things you get each morning, not the only one. These arrive with it, on every membership.

Today's Priority
One instruction for the day, chosen out of six, with the reason it was chosen and a single thing to do about it.
Sleep
Stages, how broken the night was, how long you were actually asleep, and how that sits against your own recent nights. Naps count.
Strain
What today has cost you so far, updated as it happens, next to the room you had this morning. It describes cost. It is not evidence that a session was safe.
Body Energy
How much you have left, from waking to now, and what has been drawing it down. The parts add up to the whole; nothing is rounded into place.
Training Balance
How your recent work is spread across easy aerobic, hard aerobic, anaerobic and strength.
Bio-Age
The long arc: your Bio-Age, the parts it is built from, and how fast it is moving.

When the comparison itself is the wrong one.

There are stretches of a life where reading you against your own recent weeks stops being a kindness. Six days after giving birth, a score that compares you with your former self is not a weak reading of your recovery — it is a reading of how far you are from someone else.

So in those weeks Omnisio stops showing the verdict and keeps showing you everything it measures. Nothing is taken away and nothing is hidden. What is withdrawn is the judgement, because the judgement is the part that would have been wrong.

All of this is in every membership. None of it is an upsell.

What Recovery is not

Omnisio is a wellness product for general lifestyle use, and Recovery is a wellness reading. It is not a diagnosis, it does not detect illness, and it does not replace the person looking after you.

Recovery is an estimate derived from consumer-grade sensors. It is not equivalent to a medical-grade measurement, and neither the app nor the devices used with it hold FDA, CE-MDR or TITCK medical device clearance. When a reading sits outside the ordinary range, the only thing the app is allowed to do is say so plainly and point you to a physician — and that is what it does.

You may also notice what this page has not told you: how the reading is arrived at. That is not an oversight. What a member gets is the thing we sell. How it is produced is not something we publish, here or anywhere else.

Questions

Is Recovery included in every membership?

Yes. Today's Priority, Recovery, Sleep and Strain arrive every morning on every Omnisio membership. There is no rung of the app where Recovery is the thing sitting behind a higher price.

Why did I get no Recovery score this morning?

Because the night could not be read honestly — most often the band was not worn, or was worn loosely, or the night was too short to say anything about.

Omnisio reports that plainly instead of printing a low number, and the next readable night gives you a reading again. Nothing is lost in the meantime; the night is still shown to you as a night, just without a verdict on it.

Is my Recovery compared with other people's?

No. It is read against your own recent weeks and nothing else. Omnisio does not rank you against other members, does not show you a position in a field, and has no leaderboard for this.

Does the band come with the membership?

Yes. The Omnisio Band is included with your initial membership and is not sold separately — you are not buying it on the side and you are not renting it. Delivery is included, and your band is replaced free for as long as your membership runs.

Can Omnisio tell me whether something is medically wrong?

No, and it will not pretend to. Omnisio is a wellness product, not a medical device, and nothing in it is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

It does not screen for heart-rhythm problems, does not measure blood pressure, does not detect breathing disorders in sleep, and will never name a supplement or a dose. Where a reading falls outside the ordinary range it says so and points you to a physician.

One membership. The band is in the box.

Recovery, Today's Priority, Sleep and Strain arrive every morning, on every membership. Delivery is included, and your band is replaced free while your membership runs.
